BREAKING NEWS: A former Nottingham Forest player was just appointed as the first coach in the new league.
Someone with a connection to Nottingham Forest is expected to participate in the new Baller League concept, which is expected to bring attention to a new football league.
Several YouTube celebrities and influencers sold out Wembley Stadium on Saturday as Forest was defeating Manchester City in order to earn a significant amount of money for charity.
The big name behind the UK version of a German concept that is currently making its way to these shores and the US in the future is KSI.
sides will be led by legendary players like Luis Figo, John Terry, and Gary Lineker, while certain sides will be coached by Micah Richards, Alan Shearer, and Robert Pires.
From a Forest viewpoint, the most exciting addition to the roster of former players participating is someone who assisted the team in gaining promotion from League One several years ago.
Luke Chambers becomes the coach of the Invincibles in the Baller League.
For several years, Chambers served Forest with distinction. In 2008, he helped the team return to the Championship by playing anywhere in the back four.
After joining the squad as a young player from Northampton Town, he made 229 appearances overall, scoring 21 goals and serving as captain for several years.
Chambers has now, in a sense, begun his journey into management! In the recently established Baller League UK, he has joined Freddie Ljungberg, Robert Pires, and Jens Lehmann as coach of the squad, appropriately titled the Invincibles.
Chambers and his new coworkers had been sighted together. The clubs are already busy putting together their squads in preparation for the big kickoff, which started last night.
It’s unclear if Chambers genuinely sees this as an opportunity to eventually get himself involved in coaching with a legitimate football team, or if he just enjoys the idea.
How the UK Baller League will operate
In the UK, 12 teams will compete in the six-a-side Baller League, which will be held every Monday on indoor football fields.
Following that, the top four will advance to the playoffs, where a champion will be chosen through a semifinal and final.
Chunkz will host a weekly show that will feature all of the bouts live on YouTube, where every match will be streamed live.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s season is going great, but Nottingham Forest’s victory over Manchester City over the weekend sent additional shockwaves through the Premier League.
Right now, the Forest head coach truly has the Midas touch. His team’s in-game adjustments overcame Pep Guardiola over the weekend, and with ten games left, the defending champions trail Forest by four points.
