The Rs have maintained a healthy distance from the relegation battle, but a poor run of results has kept them from moving up. Therefore, Marti Cifuentes and company are expected to finish near the middle of the table. The Hoops have now lost six of their last eight Championship games after a close 1-0 loss to West Brom on Saturday afternoon. They have also suffered three consecutive defeats, including against Sheffield United, Portsmouth, and Tony Mowbray’s Baggies.
In the midst of a defensive injury crisis, Middlesbrough welcomes QPR to the Riverside. Boro lost 1-0 to Swansea City on Saturday, finding it difficult to build on consecutive victories.

Over the weekend, QPR had to cope with a couple additional injury concerns. Leading scorer Michael Frey and midfield regular Jonathan Varane were sidelined due to minor injuries.
The brief interval between the two games may not work in their favor, but it is still to be seen if they can manage the rapid turnaround for this one.
