As investment boosts sales, a car retailer anticipates a £100 million turnover.
Sales at Pride Park-based NK Motors have increased since finishing a £1 million
showroom renovation on the eve of its 20th anniversary in Derby.
This week marks the 35,000th vehicle to be driven off the forecourt of the Kia dealership on
Orient Way since it moved to its Pride Park location in April 2005.
Even though the refurbishment was ongoing, NK Motors, which also sells about 200
used cars each month from Pride Park and its other base in Chilwell, saw sales of Kia
vehicles from the Derby branch surpass 2,500 last year.
Six new offices were added to the top floors, a double mezzanine space was added upstairs,
and the enormous showroom was renovated throughout the 12-month project.
Due to its growing success, the company hopes to increase its turnover from the already
remarkable £80 million in 2024 to £100 million this year.
“Kia cars have come a very long way since the early days, and customers love the quality,
the high basic specification, and the seven-year warranties that the manufacturer provides,”
according to group managing director Sanj Kumar.
However, the way we treat our clients and the wonderful atmosphere we create for them at our
Derby showroom are also important factors in NK Motors‘ success.
“It’s a fantastic space, and we’re really pleased with the outcome, especially the car sales
figures that appear to have aligned with the end of last year’s renovations.”
