James Trafford, the goalkeeper for Burnley, has agreed to a long-term contract with Newcastle United.
The gifted 22-year-old has made a significant impact recently,
both in the Championship this season and during a stint with
Burnley while they were in the Premier League.
Newcastle is one of several teams interested in Trafford,
according to a report from Give Me Sport. Manchester United and
Tottenham have also been mentioned as potential
suitors for the English goalkeeper.
Which all-time great’s move to Arsenal abruptly fell through?
Arsene Wenger gave me an Arsenal shirt after a contract was agreed upon.
However, given that Trafford is reportedly interested in moving to St. James’ Park,
it appears Newcastle is upbeat about their prospects.
Nick Pope’s departure could result from the James Trafford transfer.

According to the article by Give Me Sport, Nick Pope would probably
leave the team if Trafford were signed.
Pope hasn’t done anything wrong while playing for Eddie Howe’s team,
so it feels a little unfair for NUFC to be pursuing another goalie.
Even still, Trafford seems like a potential upgrade,
and since football is such a brutal sport, there can be little room for
sentiment if there is a chance to get better.
