Liverpool’s victory over Chelsea to win the Carabao Cup on Sunday maintained their aspirations of winning four titles this season.

After 90 minutes of goalless play between the two teams, it appeared like a penalty shootout would be necessary to decide the match until Reds star Virgil van Dijk headed in the winning goal just before the final siren.

In addition to being the eighth trophy won by Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, this victory marks Liverpool’s third Wembley final victory over the Blues since 2022.

Mauricio Pochettino is under pressure because Chelsea lost the domestic cup final for the sixth time in a row and their poor goal-scoring performance.

Not all of this may be good news for Liverpool, though, as it seems that one of their players has drawn interest from other teams following an outstanding performance on Sunday at Wembley.

Scottish powerhouses Celtic “would love” to sign Irish goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, according to Football Insider.

Celtic has expressed interest in Kelleher.

During the match on Sunday, the 25-year-old made a number of outstanding saves, the most notable of which was stopping Cole Palmer from close range in the first half.

Scottish champions Celtic will need to find a new goalkeeper this summer following the announcement of former England international Joe Hart’s retirement.

Celtic might not be able to close a deal since they would need to spend a lot of money on Kelleher, despite their interest.

After enrolling in Liverpool’s junior program in 2015, Kelleher has played for the Reds in 37 games across all competitions, the most of which have been in domestic cups.

The Ireland international has a deal with the Merseyside team through the end of the 2025–2026 season, but if he doesn’t get enough playing time, he might want to leave Liverpool.
