Oscar Cortes in Glasgow for Rangers loan with bumper summer deal up for grabs
With a lucrative summer contract up for grabs, Oscar Cortes is in Glasgow on a Rangers loan.
Oscar Cortes has arrived in Glasgow in preparation for finalising his Rangers loan; in the summer,
a lucrative four-year permanent contract will be up for grabs.
The 20-year-old winger is all that’s left to do to become Philippe Clement’s January additions, along with Mohamed
Diomande and Fabio Silva, after signing his medical.
The Daily Record reports this evening that, should Cortes demonstrate during his loan period that he is worthy of a
full-time transfer to Glasgow, he has been lured to the chance of a permanent stay.
He has only made four substitute appearances for RC Lens so far this season; if he wants to stay at
Ibrox for the full six months, he will need to significantly raise those numbers.
Further details regarding Jefte’s transfer to Germany falling this week have also been released by the same publication.
The Brazilian has been on loan at APOEL, who allegedly requested approximately £400,000 in order to
shorten his loan from Fluminense.
They were driven out of the agreement by that, in addition to the price that Clement’s team would have
had to pay his parent club.
However, it is said that they are open to returning in the summer, when his loan with the Cypriots expires.
According to The Record, Jose Cifuentes is almost certain to leave for Cruzeiro in Brazil for a £2 million fee,
but Cyriel Dessers may still be of interest to Hellas Verona.
