Celtic vs. Dundee: Prediction, Team News, and Lineups
Celtic host Dundee on Wednesday night, trailing leaders Rangers by two points in the Scottish Premiership.
Meanwhile, Dundee travel to Glasgow hoping to avoid loss and maintain their position in the top six.
Brendan Rodgers finds himself in an intriguing situation at Celtic, the perception being that he is doing a poor job at
the defending champions.
In all competitions, though, Celtic are unbeaten in 11 matches and have won nine of those fixtures, albeit several via
late winning goals.
That was the case on Sunday as the Glasgow giants overturned a half-time deficit at Motherwell to run out 3-1
victors, scoring twice in added-on time.
Such heroics in the dying moments were the difference between Rangers trailing by two and four points, and it keeps
the pressure on their opponents, who have looked far more convincing than Celtic.
Celtic will appreciate the return to familiar ground, but they have lost two of their past five league games at Celtic Park.
Dundee has been inconsistent throughout the 2023-24 season, winning no more than two consecutive games.
Victories against St Johnstone and Ross County placed them in a position to snap their win streak when they meet
Hibernian at Easter Road this weekend.
However, despite drawing level with 12 minutes remaining, Dundee dropped a second and lost 2-1 to their nearest
rivals for sixth place.
Tony Docherty’s team travels to Glasgow having already suffered two 3-0 defeats to Celtic this season, the most
recent coming on Boxing Day.

Rodgers will make several changes to his Celtic starting lineup, with Adam Idah set to be recalled after scoring
another last-minute goal.
Cameron Carter-Vickers returned from injury and played for half an hour against Motherwell, while Yang Hyun-jun
and Luis Palma are also hoping to return in the final third.
Maik Nawrocki, Nicolas Kuhn, and Kyogo Furuhashi are all at risk of being relegated to the bench.
Docherty is also expected to make changes, with Ricki Lamie and Michael Mellon both in line for recalls after coming on at half-time against Hibs.
Curtis Main may also get his second start since joining the club, but Docherty will not make too many changes to a
team that has already won two games in a row.
Celtic’s likely starting lineup:
Hart; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor; O’Riley, Iwata, McGregor; Yang, Idah, Maeda.
Dundee’s likely starting lineup:
Carson; McGhee, Shaughnessy, Donnelly, Beck; Cameron, Sylla, McCowan; Main, Mellon, Tiffoney.
