Rangers Star Set To Leave Ibrox In Big Money Premier League Move
Rangers will have “big fears” that Premier League clubs may want to sign Todd Cantwell during the summer transfer window, according to Dean Jones.
Speaking with GiveMeSport on Sunday (25 February), the former Eurosport journalist stated that he would be
“surprised” if the 25-year-old left the Gers at the end of the season because he appears to be “loving life” at Ibrox.
However, he said that it is “not out of the question” that Premier League clubs may offer “big money” to get the
English attacking midfielder given how well he has been doing.
“I think Cantwell, he seems to be anyway, loving life at Rangers,” Jones added. “I’d be astonished if he departed the
club during the summer.
“But of course, one of Rangers’ biggest fears is that Premier League clubs would look at his circumstances and
decide to offer him a large sum of money. Given how good he has played at times, it is not impossible.”
Todd Cantwell is unlikely to depart Rangers.
Cantwell is unlikely to quit Rangers
because he is playing regular football and appears to like his time there.
While he may want to return to England in the future, he is unlikely to be able to join a team as large as the Gers at
this time.
It’s probably in his best interests to continue putting on excellent performances under Philippe Clement’s tutelage
while letting the future take care of itself.
After a mixed bag of performances in the first half of the season, the offensive midfielder found form recently before
being sidelined by injury.
The Light Blues fans will be hoping he returns to the squad as soon as possible to help them win the SPL title, and
that he will continue to play at Ibrox for some time.
