Rangers have reportedly launched a bid to sign striker Vincent Aboubakar this summer.
Rangers is on the winter transfer market seeking a new centre-forward after Cyril Dessers failed to live up to expectations.
Aboubakar has spent the last 18 months at Al-Nassr, scoring 13 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions, including four in 12 games this season.
Rangers have been ‘alerted’ by Aboubakar’s availability, with Besiktas willing to let the 30-year-old move in the summer for a reduced fee.
According to Saudi Arabian news outlet OKAZ, Rangers and Premier League giants Fulham are vying for his signing, with the Cameroonian thought to prefer a transfer to Scotland.
Aboubakar’s probable temporary move to Ibrox would not only boost Rangers boss Phlippe Clement’s options in attack, but would also allow the club to compete for more titles next season.
