Dalziel believes he can thrill the supporters.

During the winter transfer window, Gers manager Philippe Clement pounced to sign the

Colombian winger on loan from Lens in France.

Cortes has had an immediate impression for the Rangers, who are playing well right now.

On Saturday, he scored in the team’s 5-0 thumping of the Hearts.

Dalziel was pleased with how the 20-year-old took his goal and believes that the signs of his talent were there from minute one.

The only question mark, he insists, was whether Cortes would deal with the demands of playing for Rangers.

Dalziel posted on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard, “You just know there’s a player there the minute I saw him.”

“You never know how he’s going to adjust to the game and the pressure of playing with the Rangers as well,

but he’s adjusted really well.”

“He achieved his goal today beautifully. “For me, Cortes is someone the Rangers supporters should be excited

to watch if he continues to improve.

Cortes, who has also been capped internationally by Colombia, does have a buyout option in the loan agreement with Rangers.
