Emiliano Martinez, the goalkeeper for Aston Villa, is not available for Chelsea

or Arsenal to buy during the summer transfer window, according to Ben Foster.

Since leaving Arsenal in 2020 to sign a £17 million contract with Villa,

Martinez has become as one of the top goalkeepers in the Premier League,

if not the entire globe.

Martinez, who has 49 international caps for Argentina, won the Golden Glove

while helping his nation win the World Cup three years ago.

In 2023 and 2024, Martinez received the Yashin Trophy,

which is given by France Football to the world’s greatest goalie every year.

In 2022 and 2024, the 32-year-old, who has played 196 games for Villa thus far,

Martinez has a contract with Villa Park through 2029, so there is currently no

indication that he plans to leave the Midlands club anytime soon.

However, Foster, the former goalkeeper for Manchester United, has stated that

Martinez would not entertain a second term at Arsenal or a move to Chelsea

if either team made a move for him at the end of the current campaign.

Foster believes Martinez would turn down any advances from Chelsea and

Arsenal and would be more likely to go with one of the “biggest teams in the world.”

“I think the only teams that will get Martinez are the biggest teams in the world,”

Foster stated in an interview with his podcast, The Cycling GK.

“He will not be visiting Chelsea.” He will not be attending Arsenal.
