When Barry Ferguson told Pedro Caixinha that he wanted his job, he most likely thought his chances
of ever taking charge of Rangers were over.

Now, as Rangers manager, the Hall of Famer has the opportunity to do things his own and shape the team he loves in his own image.
It may only be for the short term, as revealed by Patrick Stewart, but Ferguson and his new coaching staff must get to work immediately.
Ferguson sat down with Rangers TV and was asked about his first impressions of being in the Ibrox
hot seat.
Barry Ferguson on how it feels to be Rangers manager
“I’m proud and excited, and to be honest, it came unexpectedly. So it’s been a crazy day. I’m just
pleased to have it done, to gather my team, and to get into the training ground and get started.”
“A serious shortage of sleep! Because, as I previously stated, I needed to assemble a backroom crew,
and I had to be respectful because they had other jobs, so we had to get that fixed.
“happily, the guys worked hard on it, as did the CEO and Chairman; happily, we finished it faster
than we planned, allowing us to go in sooner.
