there is now “extreme confidence” behind the scenes that the goalie will join with
St. James’ Park this summer.
Since Thursday night’s post, others have jumped on the tale and given their thoughts,
with Hope providing fresh hope on his possible arrival on Tyneside.
Romano provides an update on Trafford.
Fabrizio Romano shared his knowledge of Newcastle’s interest in Trafford after he became the talk of Tyneside yesterday night.
According to the renowned transfer analyst, Newcastle and the 22-year-old “agreed personal terms” last summer and still have a “verbal pact” in place to bring him to St. James’ Park.
Trafford is “at the top of the list” in our summer goalkeeper search, according to Romano.

We’ll have to hope Burnley’s demands haven’t gone up too much considering Trafford’s exceptional performance in the Championship this season, but both Romano and Hope appear to believe that he is set on the transfer, which feels big.Despite suffering a baptism of fire in his first full season in the Premier League two years ago, Trafford, who is still very young at 22, has all the tools necessary to become a premier goalkeeper.
