Munich is known for its fiscal responsibility,

but there are times where an exception can be made but no action is undertaken.

In the contract extension department, one pending signing will make sure that no one else gets signed.

That player is Joshua Kimmich.

According to a report from Sport Bild journos Tobi Altschäffl and

Christian Falk (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia),

Bayern’s supervisory and executive boards have agreed that should Joshua Kimmich extend his contract,

then the squad is equipped enough for next season and does not need expensive signings.

The club believes that the renewals of Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, and Joshua Kimmich are enough.

Vincent Kompany is also aware and involved in this plan.

Should there be player sales, then reinforcement is on the cards.

The supervisory board told Max Eberl and Christoph Freund that if they manage to raise funds through sales,

then they can make new signings. In addition to the obvious candidates for sale (Leon Goretzka,

Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry), Sacha Boey, Raphaël Guerreiro,

and João Palhinha are not considered unsellable in case of suitable offers.

The latter three have a combined market value of around €75m,

which could help with funds that would make the board sanction new transfers.

Finally, around €44 million in wages can be saved with the potential departures of Leroy Sané and

Eric Dier expiring in the summer (€27 million for the two) and the potential retirement of Thomas Müller (€17 million).
