“He’s Ready” – Rodgers Drops Exciting News Ahead of Bayern Clash
Brendan Rodgers has kept the door open for Jota to start against Bayern Munich in Celtic’s
crucial Champions League second leg at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.

The Portuguese winger returned to the starting lineup at the weekend, contributing significantly
to Celtic’s 3-0 victory over Dundee United and scoring once. With Celtic needing to overcome
a 2-1 deficit to keep their European dream alive, Rodgers was asked if Jota could be trusted to
start in the club’s most important game of the season.
Rodgers answered confidently, stating that the winger is physically progressing and may be called up
if necessary.
“Yes, if we decide that’s what we need to do, he can start the game,” Rodgers told Celtic TV.
“There’s no doubt he’s working his way back to his peak physical performance in terms of how I want
the team to press, but there’s no doubt he can handle the ball. In arenas like this one, you need players who can steal the ball and protect it.”
“He’s an excellent player. I’ve seen the talent up close. I saw that in the games. It’s only a matter of working his way back to that top level. If I need him to start, he is ready to go.”
