Wolves star keeping faith amid relegation fight
Matheus Cunha believes Wolves must keep their hopes of avoiding relegation alive despite losing
to Liverpool.

A chaotic first half was followed by an outstanding second half, in which Cunha scored his 12th
Premier League goal of the season as Wolves battled for an equaliser at Anfield.
However, they were unable to get a second, as Wolves suffered their 16th top-flight defeat in 25
games.
Despite this, Cunha sees the positives in Wolves’ second-half performance and believes the team
needs to believe it can stay up.
“If we start the game like we did in the second half, maybe we would leave with a result,” Cunha
joked.
“We need to learn fast, the Premier League isn’t easy.”If we perform as we did in the second half,
I believe we will get better results.
Wolves poured on the pressure in the second half, dominating the final 20 minutes as they sought a much-needed equaliser.
Matheus Cunha’s magnificent left-footed curling effort propelled Vitor Pereira’s team back into the game, but despite the visitors’ domination, Liverpool held on for the three points.
