Arne Slot will speak out about the pandemonium of the Everton derby as Liverpool confirms the news conference.

There is nothing out of the ordinary about the timing of the press conference—Slot typically holds

his pre-match press conferences ahead of weekend games on Fridays—but it is the first opportunity the

public will have to hear from the Dutchman since he was sent off following Wednesday’s Merseyside derby.

Arne Slot will speak to the media for the first time since his sending-off at Goodison Park.

Due to his dismissal against Everton, Slot was unable to carry out his customary media responsibilities,

which included holding a press conference and speaking to broadcasters following the game.

Slot was shown a red card shortly after shaking hands with referee Michael Oliver after reacting angrily to

James Tarkowski’s equalizing goal well into injury time and expressing his feelings to one of the assistant referees.

Although some extra time was to be expected after Everton pair Jarrad Branthwaite and Carlos Alcaraz were treated

for head injuries, Reds defender Virgil van Dijk told TNT Sports after the game that he didn’t think official

Oliver had the best of games. Liverpool felt unfairly treated after being denied a free-kick for what appeared to

be a clear foul on Mohamed Salah earlier in injury time, and Tarkowski’s goal came more than two

minutes after the five minutes had passed.
