Jamie Bessant has been selected as the Swansea City AFC Foundation’s Premier League
Community Captain for the 2024–25 season.
As Swansea City Foundation’s Police and Crime Commissioner coordinator,
Jamie collaborates closely with Dyfed-Powys police throughout the Premier League Kicks sessions he oversees.
Jamie travels nearly 500 miles each week to lead Premier League Kicks sessions in Seaside (Llanelli),
Aberystwyth, Newtown, and Ammanford, providing free football to areas that might not otherwise have access to it.
Over his tenure with the Foundation, Jamie has developed connections with partner organizations and participants,
assisting in expanding Premier League Kicks’ influence in these regions and motivating the
youth he assists down a variety of constructive trajectories.

When Jamie received the trophy, he was taken aback and said he was proud to represent Swansea City throughout Wales.
“I am truly surprised; I did not anticipate it at all, so I am truly taken aback.” Bessant stated.
“Everyone on our staff is outstanding; they are out in the community in all kinds of weather and conditions.
“Representing the Swans is a huge honor because the team has a sizable fan base throughout the neighborhood,
so it is truly an honor to represent the Foundation.”

The Swansea City AFC Foundation’s head of programs, Tom Williams, was thrilled to acknowledge
Jamie’s efforts and commended his dedication and enthusiasm.
