Danilo won’t be risked this season until he can demonstrate his fitness, as Philippe Clement has previously stated. At best, the

Brazilian is expecting to have an influence in the last stretch.

However, the most recent images have stoked hopes that Rangers may see the £6 million summer

acquisition from Feyenoord before the season’s end.

Danilo steps up injury return

Uploading videos of himself working hard to regain fitness, these are a significant step forward from the player’s early days of

recovery. Danilo took to Instagram to share an image of himself returning to the club’s training center and stepping up his return from

injury. The Brazilian forward has seen his first season in Glasgow devastated by the issue,

but he remains undeterred and upbeat in the face of the issues.

Since joining the team, Danilo has also not exactly had the best experience with injuries at Ibrox.

During a preseason match against St Johnstone, the forward sustained a facial fracture that required him to wear a protective mask.

The striker has made 21 appearances for Rangers, tallying six goals and five assists.

Rangers resolving medical issues

As Danilo steps up his return from injury, Rangers’ medical issues are slowly – but surely – returning to normality.

When Philippe Clement entered the building, the Rangers team had been devastated by problems over the previous 24 months. He

made a commitment to address the situation with the team.

A few of these issues are still present and are primarily concentrated in the offensive zone of the field.

Danilo, however, is not as close to a comeback as teammate striker Kemar Roofe, who still has a lot of influence this season.

Following a two- to three-month injury prognosis in January, Abdallah Sima, who was hurt playing for Senegal at AFCON, is currently

one month into his recovery.

Although Ben Davies, who made his B team comeback this week, was playing in a bounce match against Carlisle United with Zak

Lovelace and Leon Balogun, there have been other problems.
