The 23-year-old, who joined BVB from Red Bull Salzburg in 2022, has emerged as a vital member of

the team in recent years.

The German has so far this season scored five goals and provided four assists in nine starts in the Bundesliga and the Champions League. His injury has limited his playing time, but he has since recovered and is back to playing frequently.

As a possible replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Serie A leader Napoli was eager to recruit

him during the just-ended winter transfer window and even had discussions with Dortmund to finalise the agreement.

However, a relocation ultimately failed to materialise. Fichajes now claims that the Azzurri renounced this agreement after learning that the player had already committed to joining another team, most likely the Gunners, for the upcoming summer.

Adeyemi to Arsenal

Adeyemi’s qualities have impressed Mikel Arteta, who thinks the forward would be the ideal choice

to bolster the team come summertime. Arsenal is therefore prepared to make a large investment to complete the acquisition.

Adeyemi has a deal with Signal Iduna Park till 2027 and is valued at approximately £29 million per Transfermarkt. Dortmund may be willing to cash in on him next summer in order to maximise the benefit from his exit, given they are a selling club.

The young player is a flexible forward with a left foot who can play on either flank but can also cover

in the centre forward position when necessary.

Ethan Nwaneri has shown hints that he possesses the skills to fill in for Bukayo Saka, who Arsenal

has deployed at the right wing.

The two possibilities for the left wing, however, are Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, neither

of whom has been able to show their finest play on a regular basis.

Therefore, it would be wise to upgrade this position, and if Arsenal were to acquire Adeyemi, he might prove to be a wise addition.

It is unclear, though, if the North London team will be able to bolster their striking unit by hiring Adeyemi next summer.
