Fans, hello! Check out the Fever Games tickets and jerseys Caitlin Clark is giving away with the #Clark hashtag.
On May 4, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will play their first preseason game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Clark was excited to discuss that preseason game when she visited Iowa on Sunday for her jersey retiring ceremony.
It will hold great significance for Clark, who rose to prominence as a basketball player at Iowa and is currently establishing herself in the WNBA with the Fever.
Clark addressed the elephant in the room—how pricey the game is likely to be—while expressing her excitement for the game during her statement at the jersey retiring ceremony.
“Give it up for the Fever, we’re playing a game right here,” Clark stated. “Hooray! We’ll be in town soon. We’ll see what we can do, but I’m betting it’s going to be very costly, so you’d better save up.”
At Iowa and with the Fever, Clark attracted record crowds, and tickets are rarely reasonably priced. She even mentioned that it was likely quite costly to attend the Iowa–USC game on Sunday. According to StubHub, the cheapest ticket to Sunday’s game was about $130, while some even cost $3,300.
According to Vivid Seats, the average cost of a Fever game ticket in 2024 was $174, an 182% increase. Thus, Clark is most likely correct. Attending the preseason game won’t be inexpensive.
