MATCH RESCHEDULED: Norwich City vs Oxford United rescheduled for TV coverage – New time & date confirmed
OXFORD United’s trip to Norwich City next month has been rescheduled after being picked for Sky Sports.
The clash at Carrow Road was initially due to take place on Saturday, March 8, with a 3pm kick-off, but the fixture has been pulled forward to the Friday night with kick-off at 8pm.
The Canaries are currently eighth in the Sky Bet Championship table, two points shy of the play-off places.
United enjoyed one of their finest performances of the season so far in the reverse meeting on the opening weekend.
Mark Harris opened the scoring just before the half hour mark back in August, before Cameron Brannagan slammed the U’s into a 2-0 lead as the game approached the hour.
Last week, it was announced that United’s home game against Coventry City on March 1 will be a 12:30pm kick-off as opposed to a 3pm one after being selected by Sky Sports.
Picks for Sky Sports matches scheduled after the first weekend of March are now being made by the broadcasters four weeks in advance.
Back in May, a mammoth £935 million five-year deal was announced between the Football League and Sky Sports, ensuring that more than 1,000 matches will be broadcast live every season.
