2 young players for the Cowboys in 2025 whose careers have ended because of serious injuries..

As the Dallas Cowboys approach 2025, they face numerous unresolved questions regarding not just their head coach but also the roster that will take the field for them.

To begin with, I’ll mention that the coaching staff, aside from Brain Schottenheimer, appears to be better than I expected based on appearances and reports. We’ll find out how it actually is once September comes.

In addition, 25 players from the Cowboys are scheduled to enter free agency, among them four players who have previously been selected for the Pro Bowl. It is a figure that no one wants to see.

This brings me to the crux of this blog post: the Dallas Cowboys will need two young players to make a HUGE leap this season.

Regardless of circumstances, Tyler Guyton and Cooper Beebe appear set to become starters on the offensive line next year. This team is simply going to go along with them.

Guyton’s raw talent was evident in his rookie season, but he needs to spend more time on the field. That is the starting point.

He started only 14 games at tackle during his time at Oklahoma, and all of them were on the right side. He was quite inexperienced, and it was evident. Additionally, he needs to be able to play through some nicks and bruises better than he did.

Asim Richards performed well in that position. And who knows, he might create some competition for the starting job there.

I was a fan of Cooper when he came out of Kansas State, and he performed quite well for this team last season.

The positive aspect regarding him is that he can assume the roles of center or guard throughout his career, should the Cowboys one day identify a natural center they believe is superior to Beebe while simultaneously needing a guard.

Initially, the team may not have future Hall of Famer Zack Martin.

With his contract ending and an ankle injury causing Martin to miss a significant portion of the year, he only participated in 10 games. The top priority is to return to full health before deciding on his future status.

“My priority right now is to get healthy,” Martin stated on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. “People often overlook the fact that I’m a free agent and not currently under contract with anyone. My main goal is to focus on my health, and when free agency comes around, I’ll assess the situation and make a decision then.” If they lose him, it will create another gap that needs to be addressed. Tyler Smith is reliable, so there’s no concern there, but it looks like they will be going fully young and relying on Beebe and Guyton, along with possibly Terence Steele.

After Steele’s five-year contract extension, which could net him as much as $86.8 million, he had what can be considered his worst season with the Cowboys. In 2026, the team has the option to decline Steele’s contract.

The Cowboys have recently brought Klayton Adams on board from the Cardinals for the role of offensive coordinator, where he served as the offensive line coach.

Will Hernandez, the starting right guard, aims to explore free agency following the expiration of his two-year, $9 million deal with the Cardinals at the end of 2024.

During the week of the Super Bowl, he was interviewed and stated that Dallas had found the right guy. Check out that tweet above.

Ultimately, Dallas will have to acquire another player from a different team, or they will once again attempt to draft a player and hope for a successful outcome like that of Tyler Smith. Guyton bisher sieht nicht so aus.

This team requires a lot of things before the season kicks off, and relying on two young players in the key positions is challenging.
