Regarding Preston North End’s contract with Leeds United, Peter Risdale provides an update.
Peter Ridsdale, the director of Preston North End, has spoken out against
Sam Greenwood’s contract with Leeds United.
The attacker has been a consistent member of the team under Paul Heckingbottom
since joining the Lilywhites on loan in the summer.
The 23-year-old has made 26 Championship appearances, contributing five goals and two assists.
Because a buy option was included in the original summer agreement,
the loan contract allegedly has the potential to become permanent in the summer,
though it is unclear if that will actually happen.
According to Ridsdale, the circumstances surrounding Greenwood’s future will not
be impacted by Leeds’ aspirations for promotion.
Regardless of whether the Whites are in the Premier League or the Championship,
he has stated that the player and manager will decide what transpires in the summer.
According to the Lancashire Post, Ridsdale stated, “The manager here and Sam’s hands will make the decision on that.
