John Hartson renders a decision regarding Jeffrey Schlupp’s signing by Celtic amid the January transfer “surprise.”

With the January transfer window closed, it’s time for Celtic to go to

work and finish the last few months of the season.

With Jeffrey Schlupp entering on the day of the transfer deadline and Jota returning to his former haunt,

Celtic didn’t do much in terms of incoming. Many believe Celtic’s team is weaker after January,

especially with several important games approaching, so it’s not what the doctor prescribed.

Celtic’s two-leg Champions League matchup versus Bayern Munich is the major event;

the victors advance to the round of 16, when they may face Real Madrid or Manchester City.

Accordingly, Brendan Rodgers needs the strongest team possible, but that won’t be the case.

John Hartson, however, has recognized the benefits of Schlupp’s presence and the contributions the

Crystal Palace player on loan will make. Kieran Tierney won’t join Celtic until the summer,

and Alex Valle’s loan period was cut short, leaving them short at left-back. You might be wondering why it was permitted.

Schlupp can play for that team, Hartson noted, and he has played in more than 300

Premier League games for a reason, he told Go Radio.
