Three positive circumstances will allow Gary Lineker to take over Leicester City.
Gary Lineker, the current host of Match of the Day and a former England striker, has stated that he is not sure if he would ever want to manage a football team.
The former Barcelona player gave a strong indication that a move of that nature was not on his plan and would not be anytime soon when asked if the success story at Wrexham had piqued his interest.
In an interview with Alan Shearer and Micah Richards on The Rest is Football podcast, the devoted Foxes fan stated: “We have a question from Joe. Given the presence of famous owners in the Football League, Wrexham, Birmingham, and other leagues, Joe inquires as to which non-Premier League team he would like to acquire and why. That would have been simple last season. We’re back in the Premier League, but that would have been Leicester. I doubt I would ever want to play football, would you?
However, that made us at 3 Added Minutes wonder what the former England and Barcelona striker would do if he were to become chairman of the King Power Stadium and invest in his beloved Leicester. After the club parted ways with Steve Cooper, even though they were still in the Premier League, we launch Football Manager 2024, use the editor to update the Foxes roster to its current position, simulate the rest of the 2024–25 season, and let Lineker take over as manager before the summer transfer window.
