Target agreed: Rangers will push Philippe Clement to sign playmaker who is “going to be a superstar”
Following Malik Tillman’s confirmation that he could permanently go to PSV Eindhoven during the summer transfer window, Rangers
could be in for a windfall of £1.2m.
Speaking following the Champions League quarterfinal match against Borussia Dortmund, Tillman acknowledged that, given his
current level of performance, he would want to stay in the Eredivisie for the upcoming season.
on loan at Ibrox for a full year. Rangers is entitled to 10% of any proceeds Bayern receive from the sale
of Tillman on a permanent basis.
“Playing time or prospects are the most important factors for me,” he stated, as reported by Daily Record on February 21.
“Hopefully, after being at Rangers last year, I will reflect on the second season in which I consistently performed at a high level next summer. That is how I hope it will go forward.
Rangers have come out on top with this deal
After Rangers were unable to sign Malik Tillman on a long-term deal, there were many unanswered questions over the team’s future.
Having said that, it’s reasonable to argue that the club improved as a result of the signing
of players like Oscar Cortes, Danilo, and Abdallah Sima.
If a deal for Tillman had gone through, it’s possible that the money used to bring them in would not have been available, and they’ve
all done well since joining and clearly cover more positions.
Given how the Belgian manager has the squad playing and creating opportunities freely, it would have been amazing to watch
Tillman’s skill flourish under Philippe Clement.
However, Rangers are expected to profit from this agreement even if they will never truly possess Tillman, which is good news for
supporters who will be pleased to see their team gain so much from it.
