JUST IN: The Irish moves you may have missed, from Festy to Evan

Festy Ebosele, Gavin Bazunu, Evan Ferguson, Andrew Omobamidele, and John Egan are among the

Irish players who made significant moves in January, according to our Irish international transfer roundup.
A hectic January transfer window saw many moves for our Irish international players, many of whom are

expected to get greater playing time in the second half of the 2024–2025 campaign.

In an attempt to obtain more playing time before the UEFA Nations League play-offs against Bulgaria in

March and the FIFA 26 World Cup qualifying campaign in September, eight of our current MNT internationals and two

WNT internationals made moves in January.

Here, we’ve highlighted a few of those Irish international transfers:

Evan Ferguson is his name.
20 years old
Role: Striker
Transfer: West Ham United to Brighton & Hove Albion (loan)
About: Ferguson, who was previously coached by Graham Potter,

has agreed to a loan agreement with West Ham United of the Premier League through the end of the 2024–2025 campaign.

Andrew Omobamidele is his name.
22 years old; role: Defender
Transfer: loaned from Nottingham Forest to Strasbourg
About: Omobamidele made an outstanding debut, defeating Lille 2-1, and is a member of Strasbourg,

a Ligue 1 team, for the rest of the season.
