Every incoming and outgoing deal Nottingham Forest completed on transfer deadline day
The January transfer window came to a close yesterday, with Nottingham Forest experiencing a largely relaxed ending to the month’s transfer chaos.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side had not made a single signing as deadline day approached. Forest had made Matheus Cunha their top target for the window but he would eventually sign a new contract at Wolves.
Evangelos Marinakis was desperate to sign a striker to help ease the burden on Chris Wood but the failed pursuit of Cunha, alongside Brentford rejecting Forest’s bid for Yoane Wissa, saw the quest for extra attacking firepower fall flat on the approach to deadline day.
With that in mind, here is every deal that Forest managed to complete on transfer deadline day, with a number of players leaving the City Ground.
Nottingham Forest incomings on deadline day
Nottingham Forest didn’t seem likely to complete any signings on deadline day, but Forest emerged as a potential destination for Tyler Bindon of Reading on Monday morning.
Forest eventually completed a deal for Bindon which saw the New Zealand international defender return to League One on loan, with Reading fans raving about Bindon on social media when the deal was announced.
Once again, Evangelos Marinakis left it late to spring another surprise as Forest completed a late loan deal with an option to buy for Manchester City youngster Joel Ndala.
Nottingham Forest outgoings on deadline day
As expected, Lewis O’Brien departed Forest to Swansea on yet another loan deal, making it his fourth loan move away from the club since signing in 2022.
Another unsurprising departure was announced early on deadline day as James Ward-Prowse was recalled by West Ham, having only managed to make ten appearances for Forest.
Youngster Ben Perry also departed on deadline day, joining League One side Northampton Town on loan and Emmanuel Dennis joined Blackburn Rovers on loan.
