Bournemouth set to secure Eli Junior Kroupi transfer on deadline day

According to a report from Peter Rutzler from The Times, Bournemouth are looking to complete a deal to secure FC Lorient’s Eli Junior Kroupi (18) before the end of transfer deadline day.

The deal would see Bournemouth purchase the teenage forward before then loaning him back to the Ligue 2 side. Lorient are currently sat top of the league and looking good for an instant return to the top flight after suffering relegation last season.

However, due to the window shutting in France and the UK today, it is possibly a deal that will have to be revisited in the summer. The two clubs are both owned by the American businessman Bill Foley.

This hasn’t been the first time the two Foley clubs have dealt with each other, including the €20m move for winger Dango Ouattara in 2023, and most recently the transfer of Romain Faivre last summer (who is currently on loan at fellow Breton outfit Stade Brestois).
