Nottingham Forest’s Deadline Day Plan – Nuno’s Strategy Unveiled!

Nottingham Forest’s Final Push: Nuno Espirito Santo’s Reds Have Until 11PM to Wrap Up Winter Deals!

From the start of the year, Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has made his intentions for the winter transfer window clear. He has stuck to his summer stance, prioritizing the retention of his “core” group of players.

With the 11pm deadline approaching, this goal remains at the forefront of his plans. Now, with the squad in Dubai for a week-long warm-weather training camp, any clubs looking to unsettle Forest’s resolve will face a tougher challenge.

While the team works on fitness and bonding during the camp, keeping key players away from transfer speculation could also serve as a smart strategy to protect their focus. Nuno has always emphasized the importance of not letting rumors distract his players, especially as they push for European football.

When asked about transfers, Nuno has remained calm, stating that while anything can happen in the window, his priority is to keep his squad intact. He is open to new signings only if they are “special” and would add value to the team.

At present, the main area in need of attention is the striker position, after missing out on one in the summer. Some targets have already moved elsewhere, including Evan Ferguson joining West Ham United, Igor Jesus turning down a move, and Brentford’s Yoane Wissa remaining with his club.
