Johannes Thorup gives new Norwich City transfer update
An update on Norwich City’s remaining January transfer ambitions has been given by Johannes
Hoff Thorup.
To increase their prospects of earning a spot in the Championship play-offs, the Canaries
have already added three players this month.
Anis Ben Slimane’s loan from Sheffield United was also turned into a permanent contract,
and Matej Jurasek arrived from Slavia Prague.
Additionally, Lewis Dobbin joined on loan from Aston Villa, increasing the team’s offensive
threat in the second part of the season.
Thorup provides Norwich transfer update
According to Thorup, he hopes Norwich can do more business before the UK market closes on
Monday at 11 p.m.
He is also hopeful that Jurasek will turn out to be a great acquisition, as the winger might make
his debut this weekend.
According to Pink Un, Thorup stated, “I think it’s realistic that something can happen, but we
have to wait and see.”
Thorup identifies key transfer strategy
Thorup has hinted that he is not necessarily aiming to make deals merely for the sake of making
them, saying that he is focussing on individuals who could end up being wise long-term additions.
“As long as we give him time to adjust and all of that,” he continued.
It will be beneficial for us if we can locate one or two players, most likely to bring them in now,
but who are well-prepared and ready for when the preseason begins.
