Evan Ferguson backs new Celtic signing as he makes £45m Liverpool point.

According to the Daily Mail, Celtic, the champions of the Scottish Premiership, are considering a loan agreement for Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson.

With a game remaining against their bitter rivals, Celtic is 10 points ahead of Rangers in second place this season, led by Brendan Rodgers’ team.

The Hoops, who have already won the Scottish League Cup and are in a strong position to keep their Premiership championship, are looking for a domestic treble.

Celtic announced earlier in the transfer window that Kyogo Furuhashi, another fan favorite,

would be leaving the team to join Jota,

a Portuguese winger, who was returning from Stade Rennais. Due to Kyogo‘s exit,

Celtic is searching for a new striker before the deadline and has been connected to a possible transfer.

According to numerous reports this month,

Brighton would consider allowing Ferguson to leave on loan or permanently if the appropriate deal were to come in.

Ferguson has been inconsistent this season, scoring just one goal in 12 Premier League appearances,

despite Joao Pedro and Danny Welbeck’s recent injury troubles.

Ferguson must maintain his spark, even though owner Tony Bloom is a huge admirer of the player.

Ferguson has been called “explosive,” and a loan move to Celtic, who will play in the Champions League’s play-off round,

might provide him the opportunity to regain his confidence with regular playing time.

The Republic of Ireland international has drawn interest from a number of Premier League teams,

including West Ham United, Fulham, and Tottenham Hotspur.

If Brighton decides to loan Ferguson rather than sell him permanently, Rodgers’ squad may have an advantage in luring him to join them due to Celtic’s domestic success and prospects for future advancement in Europe.

The Hoops have reportedly put in a bid to sign forward Sondre Orjasaeter and are nearing an agreement for Kieran Tierney to rejoin the team from Arsenal,

either this month or on a pre-contract agreement for a summer transfer.
