Leeds United is set for a busy few days, with indications that the transfer team at Elland Road is diligently working to secure new signings ahead of Monday’s deadline.

Leeds United have begun negotiations to acquire a player from Newcastle United
As reported by The Athletic, Leeds have begun discussions regarding a transfer of Matty Targett, the left-back for Newcastle United. The player signed by Newcastle for £15m has had difficulty getting onto the pitch this season, as Lewis Hall is the Toon’s first choice.
Eddie Howe once referred to Targett as “outstanding” on Sky Sports, noting his vast experience in both the Premier League and the Championship. He is now in the last 18 months of his contract with Newcastle. Currently, a left-back is not considered an essential position at Elland Road. However, Junior Firpo and Sam Byram are both in the final six months of their contracts, with Byram being known for his frequent injuries.
