Bayern Munich and Chelsea are likely to clinch a loan agreement for France’s great player within the next 24 hours.
If the German table-topper wants Chelsea FC attacker Christopher Nkunku, Bayern Munich may still be able to acquire him, according to a report from Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic (as reported by @iMiaSanMia). Nkunku is available for loan, according to Whitwell.
However, it has long been believed that Mathys Tel would need to consent to leave Bayern Munich on a loan or even a full transfer in order to make a bid for a player like Nkunku. Despite his lack of playing time, Florian Plettenberg, a writer for Sky Sport, reports (via @iMiaSanMia) that Tel still has no intention of leaving. Plettenger added that Max Eberl, the sport board member for Bayern Munich, still desires Nkunku.
Tel hasn’t played in either of Bayern Munich’s previous three games. Over the course of 13 games this season, Tel has only played 396 minutes. While supporting Plettenberg’s story, Tz journalist Philipp Kessler (via @iMiaSanMia) stated that Tel wants to see a “clear plan” and that a meeting between Tel’s camp and Bayern Munich is scheduled for this week:
Tel and Bayern Munich must resolve this matter swiftly because the transfer window is only a few days long.
Plettenberg is speculating that Manchester United may try to get Nkunku:
With some of the choices it is making, is Bayern Munich lowering the standard for itself? Where does Bayern need to make roster improvements both now and down the road? Should the team simply say nothing regarding Joshua Kimmich’s contract status? We believe so! Let’s discuss these topics and more on the Works Show, a Bavarian podcast.
