In an effort to strengthen his team before a challenging second half of the season, Mark Robins has signed Birmingham City’s top defender Krystian Bielik to Stoke City.

Stoke City is keeping tabs on Krystian Bielik.
Bielik is on Stoke’s radar along with Crystal Palace defender Jeffrey Schlupp and Bristol City midfielder Mark Sykes, who have both been linked to a move to the Potters in the past, according to a recent update from TEAMtalk reporter Fraser Fletcher, via X.

According to Fletcher, they could sign all three players before the window closes on February 3. Any acquisition of Bielik or the other two would be a permanent contract, and Stoke would only have a few spots available if they wanted to field all of their loan players in a single matchday squad in accordance with EFL regulations.

It’s still unclear if the Potters can afford to pay a significant sum for the Poland international.

It would make sense to add Bielik to Mark Robins‘ team.
Stoke is now fighting for relegation, and although manager Robins wants to lead his team out of the bottom three in the second half of the season, he is also dealing with a number of injuries to his midfielders and defenders.

With Michael Rose and Ashley Phillips as their only available center-backs, Stoke needs a new addition as Ben Wilmot and Ben Gibson are both currently sidelined. If Robins wants to play a three-at-the-back formation in the upcoming months, he may also want to bolster his ranks in that position even after they are all healthy and ready to play.
