Leeds United should now find James Milner’s previous remarks regarding Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s dribbling abilities to be quite intriguing.

The 31-year-old Oxlade-Chamberlain, a 35-time England international,

is currently in Turkey with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s new team, Besiktas,

and has entered the final 18 months of his contract with the SuperLig team.

In fact, Oxlade-Chamberlain has only made six appearances for Besiktas this season.

Solskjaer is eager to see what Oxlade-Chamberlain can offer, giving him just his second start of the season on Sunday.

However, it seems he is eager to return to England before the end of the January transfer window,

and Leeds is reportedly in the running for his services, along with Premier

Oxlade-Chamberlain at Liverpool during a period that saw both the best

and worst of the versatile midfield player. Milner was interviewed by TeamTalk on

TNT Sports in 2019 after Oxlade-Chamberlain scored against Genk in the Champions League.

Milner said of Oxlade-Chamberlain: “He’s got a great strike on him. He’s good in those pockets.

With his dribbling ability so it’s great to have him back and it’s another

option for us in that midfield where there’s great competition for places.”
