The Toffees have been searching the market for a midfield player heading

into the winter transfer window and have set their sights on the rarely used Chelsea whizkid.

They have made an offer for the 21-year-old prospect, with the West

London club demanding about £40 million to let him go. Carney

Chukwuemeka came to Chelsea with a growing reputation, and the

West London club beat fierce competition to acquire his services in August 2022.

Despite this, the Englishman has had a frustrating time with the West London club so far,

as injuries and a lack of playing time have hindered him.

Although Enzo Maresca appreciates the former Aston Villa prodigy’s talent,

the Italian tactician has hardly given the young player any opportunities,

so it is not surprising that the English midfield sensation wants to look into

leaving Chelsea during the winter transfer window. Chukwuemeka has plenty

of clubs interested in signing him, with Everton among his potential suitors this month.

The 21-year-old has barely played for Chelsea in the 2024–25 season,

managing just 130 minutes of game time across five appearances in all competitions.
