There is Everton ‘interest’ in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, therefore Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca files a new transfer claim.
Although Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s departure from Chelsea this month is doubtful,
Enzo Maresca has acknowledged that it is not completely ruled out.
The midfield player, who has gone down the Stamford Bridge hierarchy,
has been linked to a move to Everton. Dewsbury-Hall reportedly paid £30 million to join
Chelsea during the summer transfer window. After they won the Championship title with
Leicester City together in the 2023–24 season, he got back again with head coach Maresca.
However, even though Dewsbury-Hall is a personal friend of Maresca, he has had trouble
getting consistent playing time in West London. For the majority of the campaign,
he has been pushed down the hierarchy, with Romeo Lavia, Cole Palmer,
Enzo Fernandez, and Moises Caicedo being preferred. However,
Dewsbury-Hall made his full Premier League debut against Wolverhampton
Wanderers last night due to Chelsea’s injuries to Fernandez and Lavis.
He contributed Marc Cucurella’s game-winning second goal, which helped the team win 3-1.
During the January transfer window, there have been rumors that the 26-year-old would leave the city.
Everton has reportedly expressed interest in David Moyes as he tries to expand his
alternatives in order to prevent a Premier League relegation fight. Despite
Fernandez and Lavia being on Chelsea’s treatment table, Maresca is still adamant that
Dewsbury-Hall might be retained by the team. “We are not going to take a decision on
Kiernan because of Romeo and Enzo,” Maresca stated following Wolves’ triumph. Yes, they are hurt.
I previously stated a few days or weeks ago that Kiernan will be retained,
but because it is January, anything might happen.
