More bad news for Leeds United: negotiations to join another club are beginning, and clubs are lining up for the 49ers target.
Over the weekend, Daniel Farke’s team returned to winning ways.
Leeds United recorded their first league victory of 2025 with a 3-0
victory over Sheffield Wednesday, moving them back to the top of the Championship standings.
It was a rather easy victory over a formidable Owls team. However,
Farke and the supporters are aware that the second half of the season
will be very difficult and that new players will probably
make the difference between the teams vying for promotion.
Tom Cannon is currently expected to join Sheffield United,
while Enzo Le Fee has joined Sunderland and Burnley is also interested in making a move.
However, Leeds doesn’t make any moves in the transfer market.
As other teams enter the race and make more significant deals than Leeds,
the increasing number of players being linked to a move to Leeds United soon fades.

Mergim Berisha is one player who may be among those who are
linked to a move to Elland Road but ultimately end up moving elsewhere.
Berisha, a former German international, has been given permission to depart Hoffenheim in January.
Leeds’ pursuit of the 26-year-old striker, who is valued at £5.6 million,
may come to an end if Augsburg decides to re-sign Berisha during the January transfer window, according to recent reports.
However, there’s more bad news now. According to the German publication Kicker,
Union Berlin is the likely Bundesliga team interested in acquiring Berisha.
