Just In: As Chelsea searches for a winger, European heavyweights may present a significant profit opportunity.
One of Chelsea’s defenders may be available for a significant profit this winter.
Chelsea may be given the opportunity to let go of one of their most recent acquisitions, as is starting to happen at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have a number of summer arrivals who have struggled for regular play since arriving at Stamford Bridge.
A number of recent arrivals, including Carney Chukwuemeka and Cesare Casadei, who naturally arrived a year earlier, are also being linked to exits, including Joao Felix, who is now being linked with a swift departure after failing to persuade Enzo Maresca that he is a player of starting caliber.
The 27-year-old has made 10 Premier League appearances so far, and only seven of those have been starts. Meanwhile, it is no secret that Maresca wants more options at centre-back, and that’s despite the fact he clearly has bodies there even with Wesley Fofana out, and one more body now that Trevoh Chalobah has been recalled from his loan.
