The Seahawks are reportedly targeting the Saints’ Kubiak for their offensive coordinator position.
The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly close to hiring New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their new offensive coordinator. Kubiak, the son of former NFL coach Gary Kubiak, is said to be “in the driver’s seat,” with NFL Network insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reporting that the Seahawks will interview him for a second time on Friday.
At 37 years old, Kubiak has had an extensive coaching career, starting as a quality control coach at Texas A&M in 2010-11. He later became a graduate assistant and moved on to various roles, including wide receivers coach at Kansas in 2015, and coaching positions with the Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos. Kubiak was promoted to offensive coordinator for the Vikings in 2021, then served as passing game coordinator and QB coach for the Broncos and San Francisco 49ers in 2022-2023. He joined the Saints in 2024 as OC under Dennis Allen.
After emerging as one of the top offensive play-callers this offseason, Kubiak has attracted significant interest, with the Seahawks reportedly looking to finalize the hiring soon.
