Ravens Expected to Pursue Another Diontae Johnson-Like Problem They Should Avoid
Learning from past mistakes is essential for growth and improvement.
The Baltimore Ravens are thriving offensively, with Lamar Jackson flourishing under Todd Monken’s versatile system. Playmakers like Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Derrick Henry, and Mark Andrews have transformed the Ravens into a formidable and balanced unit, leaving behind the outdated label of being “one-dimensional.” This offensive cohesion has made the team a nightmare for opponents to contain.
Recently, Bleacher Report’s Maurice Moton suggested the Ravens trade for Miami Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill, citing the potential for an elite trio with Jackson and Henry. While Hill’s talent is undeniable, his addition might not align with Baltimore’s needs. Hill’s history of requiring a starring role raises concerns about disrupting the team’s chemistry, especially after the chaos surrounding Diontae Johnson’s attitude issues.
Baltimore’s strength lies in its team-first approach and balanced distribution of touches among its offensive stars. Adding Hill could introduce distractions and undermine the collaborative ethos that has fueled their success. Instead, the Ravens could explore smarter, low-risk options like free agents DeAndre Hopkins, Marquise Brown, or emerging talents like Devontez Walker.
The Ravens don’t need flashy moves to maintain their championship-caliber offense. By sticking with their current formula, they remain built for Super Bowl victories—not offseason headlines.
