JUST IN: Everton in contact to seal “phenomenal” first Moyes signing who’s better than DCL
Everton quickly chose to bring back club veteran David Moyes for another stint in the Goodison
Park dugout after deciding to fire Sean Dyche earlier this month.
In order to help the team avoid relegation to the Championship, the Scottish head coach will be
present for the stadium’s last Premier League games before it is replaced for the 2025–2026
season.
Given his familiarity with Everton and the Premier League and his recent experience guiding a
team past relegation, Moyes seemed to be the most qualified applicant on paper.
Before leaving the London Stadium last summer, he managed West Ham United, where he participated in the Europa League and won the Europa Conference League.
The board must now support Moyes in the transfer market to provide him the choices he needs
to compete further up the table the following season and, initially, avoid relegation.
Everton eyeing Premier League striker
Two weeks have passed since the January transfer market opened, and it has been rumoured that
the Toffees are interested in a striker from one of their Premier League opponents.
Journalist Graeme Bailey claims that Everton is interested in a deal to sign center-forward Evan Ferguson from Brighton & Hove Albion before the February deadline.
The report shows that the Toffees have made contact with the Seagulls in try to sign the Ireland international on loan for the balance of the 2024/25 campaign.
According to the report, Everton is competing with a number of other teams, including West Ham United, Bournemouth, Chelsea, and Arsenal, to temporarily hire him.
