Rangers’ move to sign midfielder deemed ‘highly undesirable’ as club is urged to prevent Ibrox transfer

The likelihood of Rangers making moves this month seems to hinge on whether they secure a new midfielder for Ibrox.

Even in the case of Lyall Cameron, it is expected that any deal may not be finalized until the summer.

Rangers are currently leading the race to sign the Dundee midfielder, with Cameron potentially joining on a pre-contract deal, similar to the £650,000 arrangement they made with Aberdeen for Connor Barron. The transfer fee for Cameron will likely be determined later.

Rangers News reports that the club has shown interest in Marko Soldo, but there has been little progress so far. Leon Belcar has recently signed a new contract with NK Varazdin, and Carney Chukwuemeka appears to be heading for a wealthier club abroad, likely leaving Chelsea.

However, the option of Sasa Zdjelar is still on the table.
