Newcastle finally signs “special” Premier League player for £30 million from…
Newcastle United supporters are loving life right now.
With Saturday’s FA Cup victory over Bromley, the Magpies have now won
eight consecutive matches, doing so as a top-flight team for the first time since March 2005.
In addition to FA Cup progression, Eddie Howe’s team has risen to fifth place in the
Premier League table and is almost certain to reach the EFL Cup Final,
meaning they will look for a ninth consecutive victory when Wolves visit
St James’ Park on Wednesday night, a feat last accomplished in 1994.
Newcastle, who are currently on track to qualify for the Champions League,
may be busy off the field in January, looking to improve their forward line.
Newcastle haven’t had a good transfer window recently. In 2024, they were obliged to sell two extremely talented young players, Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh.
Fast forward to January 2025, and it appears that they are attempting to rectify the situation by signing one of England’s best young prospects.According to The Athletic, ‘Newcastle have watched’ Southampton winger Tyler Dibling.
He is not a top target for January, but is one of several young forwards being considered.
Previous sources state that the attacker is also on Manchester City’s “radar,” and Chelsea regrets allowing the teenager to return to the Saints two seasons ago.
