Leeds United return to Sky Bet Championship action this Friday with a trip to Hillsborough to face

Sheffield Wednesday in a Yorkshire derby.

Daniel Farke’s side remain unbeaten in their start to the new league campaign,

playing out a hard-fought goalless draw away at West Bromwich Albion last time out.

The stalemate at The Hawthorns followed a dramatic opener in the season’s curtain raiser against

Portsmouth, with Brenden Aaronson’s late goal ensuring the points were shared at Elland Road.

Danny Röhl’s Sheffield Wednesday kicked off the new term with a scintillating 4-0 victory over

Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle, but fell to a heavy defeat by the same scoreline last time out away against Sunderland.

The Whites’ previous visit to the Steel City proved to be an enjoyable one for the club,

with Leeds impressing in a 2-0 win over the resurgent Owls towards the end of last campaign.

Junior Firpo’s pinpoint delivery was tapped home by striker Patrick Bamford on the stroke of half-time,

before Italian international Willy Gnonto rounded off an incisive move with an

emphatic finish in front of the travelling supporters to secure all three points.

The action from Hillsborough gets underway at 8pm.
