Rangers announced this afternoon the signing of Everton academy standout Arian Allen.

The Light Blues have signed the 16-year-old Englishman to their own academy,

after deciding to leave the Toffees for the first time since joining as a child over six years ago.

The frontman has been described as “dynamic” and will join Steven Smith’s under-18s squad as they prepare for the end of their season in the coming weeks.

Gers’ academy director Zeb Jacobs expressed his satisfaction at being able to secure the potential Allen and stated that they look forward to working with and developing him through the ranks at Ibrox.

“It is great for us to have Arian on board,” Jacobs told the club’s website after signing the adolescent to a long-term contract.

“We are all excited to start working with him and develop his potential over the coming seasons.”

In recent seasons, the Gers have made a concerted effort to enhance their academy, bringing a number of players from the south,

like Zak Lovelace, to Scotland.
