Done Deal: Rangers sign young attacker from Everton

Rangers has officially announced the acquisition of 16-year-old forward Arian Allen

from Premier League team Everton.

The youthful talent has arrived at Ibrox, and the club announced on its official

website [19 February] that Allen is excited to leave life at Goodison Park.

The next six months will be extremely exciting as the teenager joins Steven Smith’s

Under-18s group ahead of the second half of the season.

Allen has been at Everton since he was just under ten years old, but he will continue to

grow at Ibrox since there is ample proof that young players are given opportunities at the senior level.

Rangers complete an unnoticed Everton move

Allen has an excellent opportunity to advance in his football career by moving to Ibrox,

where he will have an easy road to the first team.

The academy has turned forth many talented people, including Ryan Hardie in 2014,

Alan Hutton in 2002, and John Fleck in 2008.

One of the best examples of this is Ross McCausland, who debuted in the first squad

and maintained his spot in the starting lineup under Philippe Clement.

When it comes to his Rangers team, the Belgian appears to live by the adage “If you are good enough,

you are old enough.” And it could only be a few years until the explosive forward

plays in front of the Ibrox supporters.

Allen will be a very valuable asset once he settles in Scotland and is capable of filling in

wherever in the front line. He could even make an impression on Clement in the first few

weeks of joining the team.

The Toffees kid may soon be playing alongside McCausland, Rabbi Matondo,

or possibly Cyriel Dessers if he can flourish at Rangers’ academy, since the Gers have

been clamoring for more strikers.

In other Rangers news, Keith Jackson has hinted that following the Gers’ most recent victory,

Brandan Rodgers may be fired at Celtic.
