Abada Celtic transfer route as ‘3 clubs’ circle after Rodgers exit admission
Liel Abada reportedly has three MLS clubs chasing his signature after Brendan Rodgers admitted a transfer exit was a possibility.
The winger, 22, has struggled on and off the pitch in recent weeks as the conflict between his homeland in Israel and Palestine continues.
The Celtic fanbase have shown support to their player but their backing of Palestine is also
evident which has made the situation more difficult for the player.
Abada may need to move on in order to regain his form and love for the game,
and Rodgers acknowledged that possibility. Now, the Daily Mail reports that three
American clubs have expressed interest in the attacker.
Abada was “not in the frame of mind” to play last weekend against St Mirren, as we previously reported.
The Northern Irishman now stated he will miss this afternoon’s match against Kilmarnock for the same reason.
Back in January, we exclusively reported to you how Abada’s availability was denied by Rodgers to
European teams and English Championship teams that approached Celts about loaning him.
Additionally, we exclusively disclosed how the Parkhead club administration met with Abada in
secret to provide the player support amidst the dispute and backlash in his
home country regarding the player’s performance as the star of the Glasgow champions.
